Questions to ask when touring a wedding venue…

First of all, congratulations! If you are reading this blog post, you are in need of a place to celebrate your love with your closest people. You are also probably feeling ALL the feels from excitement to nervousness and everything in between. Rest assured, it is totally normal to run the gamut of emotions, and the intent of this post is to hopefully alleviate some of the anxiety as you take the next step. You’ve chosen a partner, now let’s choose a wedding venue!

We will try to keep this short and sweet so you don’t get overwhelmed right out of the gate. Here is a series of Q & A based on how we answer some of the biggies.

Q: What does a wedding package at your venue cost?

A: That totally depends on your date, the time of year, guest count, needs, and budget! We have a long list of things that are included in our base package pricing. To learn more about that, please click here to inquire about more information. Something unique we do at Ramble Creek compared to other venues is taking time to sit down with each couple at the time of their tour to go over their wants/needs in depth. When a couple leaves, they have a really great idea of what the total cost would be at the specified guest count. Imagine if an all-inclusive venue and an a la carte venue had a baby… we would name it Ramble Creek! We CAN do everything in-house, but we put together packages based on the needs of our couples. We can make things as elaborate and fancy as someone needs, or we can simplify things with casual elegance.

Q: Is my date available?

A: We will let you know upon your first inquiry if your date isn’t available. Some people have a specific date in mind, and though that may be a sweet sentiment, it’s important to have a backup date or two as well. This is especially true if you want to get married in the spring or fall (the most popular wedding seasons in Tennessee).

Q: What is the venue’s capacity?

A: Our venue can hold up to 300 for an indoor ceremony and reception. Even if the weather is cold, hot, or inclement, we can absolutely accommodate your crowd! It takes a little bit of maneuvering, but our staff are used to this magical transformation process.

Q: Do you allow outside catering?

A: Simply put- No, we don’t allow outside catering. The reason behind this is quality control. Our owners are foodies through and through. They couldn’t fathom the idea of not serving food prepared fresh on-site by experts! Not only do we employ a full-time culinary team, but we also have the ability to customize menus according to preference and need. We do our best to accommodate allergies and food sensitivities as well.

Q: Can i bring in my own decorations?

A: Yes, you can! As long as you abide by the guidelines in our rental agreement, you are welcome to bring in your own decorations. Anything you source THROUGH Ramble Creek will be handled entirely from start to finish by RC staff. Anything you bring in personally will need to be passed by our management team for approval (no glitter or confetti please!). Most people prefer to use our in-house decorations because of how easy it is.

Q: What are the getting ready spaces like?

A: Please just let us show you…

Q: What is the payment Schedule?

A: We require a booking deposit of $2,000 to hold your date. This deposit is non-refundable because we essentially take your date off the market for the duration of the planning period. Other than that, the remainder of the base package amount will be due 60 days out from the event. Then, 14 days out from the wedding we will require the rest of the goods and services to be paid. Lots of people prefer a pay-as-you-go plan.

Q: do you have on-site accommodations?

A: So glad you asked! Yes, we absolutely do! The The Manor at Ramble Creek became available to our wedding couples and their closest people in May of 2021. This is truly a luxury accommodation with stunning views of the Smoky Mountains, a custom pool with a grotto and rock slide, and also a hot tub. This is truly the perfect addition to the other excellent services we offer at Ramble Creek, allowing our couples and their closest people to enjoy more time together besides just the wedding day. The Manor books quickly, so if you are interested, be sure to ask up front! Starting in the fall of 2022, we will be offering the Farmhouse at Ramble Creek for smaller parties of 10-12 (available for booking soon!).

The Manor at Ramble Creek is a unique, luxury on-site accommodation. With custom details and room for up to 22 guests, not to mention a resort style pool, mountain views, and a hot tub, your guests will be enthralled with all this property has to offer.

Book early since this is a firs-come, first-served situation!

Q: Do i need to enlist friends and family to help set up and clean up?

A: No, you don’t! Please be our guests as our experienced team of wedding ninjas take care of everything from start to finish! We try to approach weddings how we’d want our own wedding to go… Does anyone really want to run around on their wedding day making sure every detail is covered? We certainly wouldn’t! Do couples have time to plan every tiny detail of their wedding? Most of them don’t, so we take care of that in-house too! All the pre-planning meetings help our couples and their loved ones sit back and truly enjoy their days without sweating the small stuff.

Q: can i find my own vendors?

A: Yes, you may. We provide a list of our preferred vendors to every couple who books with us. However, you may find your own vendors if you’d like. We trust that our clients have great taste or they wouldn’t be booking with Ramble Creek! We do have our own people for entertainment, florals, hair and makeup, officiant services, and shuttle services, but the only thing we require folks to do in-house is the catering.

In summary…

We’ve been doing this for 6 years and have hosted hundreds of events… You can bring on ALL the questions, and we promise that we have an answer and a solution for you. Book your tour today and see the difference for yourself.
