Khloe & Landon's Wedding at Ramble Creek — A Surprise Graduation Send-Off

One of the best parts of what we do is getting to know the wonderful people who choose Ramble Creek for their special day. After hundreds of events, we like to think we're pretty good judges of character — and Khloe and Landon are exactly the kind of people we love celebrating.
Celebrating Each Other
When Khloe and Landon first came to tour Ramble Creek, it was clear they were head over heels for each other — and pretty quickly, for the venue too. Khloe says they came the first time just to look, thinking it might be a stretch. They came back a second time, worked through the details, and found a way to make it happen. In her words: "God provided and we got to spend the best day of our lives there."
Their story started young. They met working at Plato's Closet — she was 17, he was 19. Khloe will admit she was initially annoyed by Landon's persistence. He, on the other hand, knew pretty quickly she was the one. He threw a big birthday party for her 18th and even learned a song on the piano. Her response? She was suspicious. Anyone that thoughtful had to be hiding something. She eventually agreed to date him anyway, and nine months later — on Christmas — Landon organized a scavenger hunt through all the places that mattered to them in Johnson City, ending with a proposal in front of family and friends. She said yes without a second of doubt.
They planned their wedding a year and a half out, timing it so Landon would be nearly finished with school before the big day. Then came the curveball.
Landon had worked hard enough to graduate a semester early — a real accomplishment — and his graduation was scheduled for two days before the wedding. Then his university moved the date to the same Saturday. He didn't say much about it, but everyone could tell he was heartbroken about missing the chance to walk.
Khloe had other plans.
"I figured if he was supposed to graduate on our wedding day, he would," she said. "So instead of a sparkler exit, I planned a graduation exit for him. He definitely wasn't expecting it at all. I almost didn't do it because I thought it might be silly, but I'm so glad I did. He loved it."
It was one of those moments that makes a wedding day something beyond just a wedding day.
The kind of love and support between these two — the kind where you pay attention to what matters to the other person and quietly do something about it — is exactly what we love to witness here. When we asked Khloe what her favorite part of their relationship is, she said: "I have no way of describing it other than that it's perfect. Our personalities complement each other so well. We have all of the same goals and interests, and we share a selfless, unconditional love that I don't see in very many people."
Planning a wedding while also doing all the other things life asks of you is no small feat — and Khloe was refreshingly candid about it.
"Fortunately, with all that Ramble Creek did, we didn't have much stress," she shared. The main curveball, beyond the graduation date swap, was the uncertainty around guest counts during the pandemic. Thankfully, they had a full house of people ready to celebrate them.
We're so glad they chose Ramble Creek, and even more glad we got a front row seat to this one.
