WHAT MAKES RAMBLE CREEK A DESTINATION WEDDING VENUE?

Ramble Creek is a private estate nestled in the East Tennessee Valley at the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, conveniently located between Knoxville and Chattanooga along I-75. The property was designed from the ground up to be both breathtaking and functional, featuring a Muscadine vineyard, pond with fountain and bridge, covered bridge over a babbling creek, manicured lawns, wooded settings, and The Grand Hall, an 8,000 square foot custom-built venue. All of the wood in the The Grand Hall was harvested and milled on-site. Nothing went to waste. You are literally surrounded by the beauty of the land. Couples travel from across the country to celebrate here because there is simply nothing else like it in the Southeast.


HOW MANY GUESTS CAN RAMBLE CREEK ACCOMMODATE?

We can host weddings of up to 300 guests. Standard table and chair seating is included for up to 150 guests, with additional seating available for larger celebrations. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, our team will ensure every guest is comfortably taken care of.


HOW MANY CEREMONY SITES DO YOU HAVE?

Ramble Creek features four stunning ceremony sites across the property, giving you genuine flexibility in choosing the setting that feels most like you. You also have both indoor and outdoor ceremony options, so you are never locked into one vision. Rain or shine, your ceremony will be beautiful.


WHAT TIME DO WE HAVE ACCESS TO THE VENUE ON OUR WEDDING DAY?

Ramble Creek is located in Athens, Tennessee, perfectly positioned between Knoxville and Chattanooga along I-75, just 58 miles from each city. For out-of-town guests, Atlanta is approximately 160 miles south, Nashville is 172 miles west, and Asheville is 171 miles east. McGhee Tyson Airport in Knoxville and Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport both serve the area, making Ramble Creek one of the most accessible destination wedding venues in the Southeast.

Guests flying in have easy access to four major airports, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is just 44 miles away for couples who want to extend their wedding weekend into a full mountain getaway.

You and your wedding party have exclusive use of the Ramble Creek property beginning at 9:00 AM. The Groom’s Quarters and Bridal Suite are available from that same time, giving you a luxurious, unhurried morning to get ready and spend time with your wedding party. Amplified music wraps at 11:00 PM, with guest departure by 11:00 PM as well — giving you a full, generous wedding day from morning to night. Ask about booking our on-site accommodations for more space to socialize with friends and family before your wedding day!


Absolutely. While our in-house team offers a full range of décor and draping options, you are welcome to bring in flowers, centerpieces, candles, and personal touches that make the day yours. We do ask that candles be dripless and contained, and that no glitter or confetti be used anywhere on the property. We simply ask that the estate is treated with care. It is your home for the day!


Yes. Ramble Creek has on-site parking for up to 115 vehicles, managed by our parking attendants who will be on hand to welcome and assist your guests as they arrive.

Planning & Coordination

WHAT DOES YOUR COORDINATION TEAM ACTUALLY DO?

A team of dedicated professionals are in your corner from the moment you book. Your Bridal Concierge handles everything before your wedding day. Think scheduling a hair and makeup trial, providing 3D renderings of your reception table and chair layout, and helping you select centerpieces and chargers. And that’s only the beginning! Your Coordinator handles everything front of house — the moments you see and feel when your wedding day arrives. Then, your Director works behind the scenes managing staffing, food presentation timing, bar service, and every logistical detail so that nothing is left to chance. You simply show up and enjoy every moment of your day.


DO YOU HELP WITH THE REHEARSAL?

Yes. A two-hour ceremony rehearsal can be scheduled any day prior to your wedding, subject to availability. We can cater your rehearsal dinner, too. The Manor, our largest on-site accommodation, is also a favorite for rehearsals and rehearsal dinners.

IS THE FOOD ACTUALLY PREPARED ON-SITE?

YES! Every single dish. Our full-time Executive Chef and his team prepare the food for your wedding day fresh in our on-site commercial kitchen, dedicated solely to your event. Nothing is cooked off-site, transported in warmers, or held for hours before serving. The difference is something your guests will absolutely notice and talk about long after the night is over.


WHAT MENU OPTIONS DO YOU OFFER?

We offer three chef-curated dinner menus — our Farmhouse Fare Menu, Vineyard Fare Menu, and Chef's Select Menu — served buffet style or plated, and including your choice of entrée, soup or salad, rolls, butter, two sides, water, and tea. These menus, however, are a starting point. If there’s a particular food or international dish you want served at your wedding, we’re all ears! We can also accommodate your allergies or dietary preferences thoughtfully and deliciously. Gluten-free, dairy-free, plant-based, vegan, etc. We promise there will be no sad salads!

All necessary glassware, flatware, and china are included. An extensive selection of hot and cold hors d'oeuvres is also available for cocktail hour, and our Baker creates stunning custom wedding cakes and desserts.


CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS AND ALLERGIES?

Absolutely. From vegetarian and plant-based options to specific allergy accommodations, our culinary team is experienced and happy to ensure every guest at your table is taken care of. Just let us know during the planning process and we will handle the rest.


CAN WE BRING IN AN OUTSIDE CATERER?

No. Outside prepared catering is not permitted. Our culinary team is here specifically to deliver an exceptional dining experience for your guests. It is one of the things Ramble Creek couples consistently rave about, and we take great pride in it.


Ramble Creek is located in a dry county, which means alcohol cannot be purchased through us directly. Not to worry though — you are welcome to provide your own alcohol, and our licensed bartenders handle everything from there. We supply all the setup, glassware, ice, mixers, and garnishes, so all you have to do is show up with the goods and we take it from there.

ACCOMMODATIONS & LOgistics

CAN OUR GUESTS STAY ON THE PROPERTY?

Yes, you and your wedding guests can stay on-site! This is one of the things that truly sets Ramble Creek apart as a destination wedding venue. The Manor, The Villa, and The Cottage together sleep up to 42 guests on-site, steps from the celebration. Every accommodation features its own hot tub, and The Manor adds a breathtaking pool and grotto — a private, sparkling retreat for your wedding party to enjoy before and after the celebration. It’s the perfect place to hang out before/after a summer wedding!


ARE THERE HOTELS NEARBY FOR ADDITIONAL GUESTS?

Several hotels are located just 15 to 20 minutes from the property, and our shuttle and charter bus service makes it easy for out-of-town guests to get to and from the venue safely and comfortably.


CAN GUESTS BOOK INDIVIDUAL ROOMS IN THE ON-SITE ACCOMMODATIONS?

No, our on-site homes are rented in their entirety rather than by individual room. That said, we're happy to work directly with any guests the couple has invited to stay on-site so they can make their own payments toward the home rental, taking that task off the couple's plate.

Booking & Pricing

HOW DO WE RESERVE OUR DATE?

Dates are reserved once your rental agreement has been approved and your initial deposit has been received. We do not hold dates on a tentative basis, so if you have found your date, the best next step is to come in for a tour and get the conversation started.


WHAT IS THE PAYMENT STRUCTURE?

A $2,000 deposit reserves your date and is refundable within 7 days. The remainder of your base package is due at your selection experience or 180 days before your wedding, whichever comes first, with full payment due 2 weeks before your big day.

You're not locked into lump-sum payments. Once you've booked, you can make incremental payments through your client portal on whatever schedule works for you. Weekly, monthly, or any combination in between, as long as you're paid in full by the deadlines above


IS THERE A FOOD AND BEVERAGE MINIMUM?

Yes. Weekday events carry a $2,000 minimum year-round. Friday and Sunday minimums range from $3,000 to $4,000, and Saturday minimums range from $3,000 to $6,000, depending on the season. Our team will build you a fully itemized estimate during your tour so you always have a clear picture of your total investment from day one.
